FAQ

A few things people normally ask us.
How does joining Felt Therapy benefit my practice?

Felt Therapy helps you fill your client roster with ideal matches. Our algorithms match you to clients suited for your specialty, saving you time finding the right fits.

What does it cost to join?

A basic membership is $50/mo and includes matching services. A premium membership ($150/mo) adds practice marketing, billing, scheduling assistance, and more.

How do you get new clients?

Clients go through a similar language based intake about their needs and preferences. Our AI pairs the results with providers like you. We'll refer matched clients for intro calls to see if it's a good fit.

Can I accept insurance through Felt Therapy?

Yes! With a premium membership, we provide assistance with getting paneled on insurance plans and can process insurance claims on your behalf.

How are clients screened? Are they a good fit for me?

Our matching tech vets every client. We'll only refer you matches that are a great fit based on your specialty, skills, and preferences.

What if a matched client isn't right for me?

No problem! Just let us know and we will re-assess to find better suited clients. We're here to save you time.

How do I manage my availability and scheduling?

Our platform seamlessly syncs with your calendar. Clients can book through your therapist profile. Our team can also assist with scheduling management.

Will you help market and grow my practice?

Yes! Our premium plan includes assistance with content creation, search optimization, and advertising to attract more ideal clients.

How can I get support from other therapists on the platform?

Engage with our therapist community forums, access online CE webinars, and partner with other providers in our directory for referrals.

How is Felt Therapy different from other therapy directories?

Unlike psychologytoday.com and other directories, Felt Therapy uses advanced matching algorithms and natural language intakes to connect you with providers we know you'll click with. We get to know you as a real person, not just a list of symptoms, to find great fits.

How do you ensure it's a good match?

Our proprietary matching quiz asks questions about your personality, interests, values, and preferences to determine which providers suit your vibe and needs. Plus, our providers complete in-depth profiles so we can match based on experience, techniques, personality and specialties.

What types of data or success metrics do you track?

We closely monitor client satisfaction, length of treatment, and outcomes data to continuously improve our matching accuracy. Over 80% of Felt Therapy clients stay with their matched therapist for 6+ months.

What types of providers are on the platform?

Felt Therapy has licensed therapists, psychiatrists and coaches of all stripes - from cognitive behavioral to psychodynamic, from family to couples and everything in between.

How does the therapist vetting process work?

All Felt Therapy therapists must pass license verification, identity checks, and credential review. We check disciplinary history and malpractice records too.

How do I get started with Felt?

Take our free intake! We will get to know you and your needs through casual conversation with our chat. Then you'll get matched with your top therapists in under 10 minutes.

How much do sessions cost?

Our therapists set their own rates, typically $75-$250 per session. Many accept insurance, which will impact your out-of-pocket cost. Filters help you find options in your budget.

What if I don't like my matched Provider?

No problem! You can go back to your other matches or edit your intake to receive brand new ones. If that still isn’t cutting it, just contact us and we'll re-evaluate your matches. We want to make sure you find the perfect fit.
